Abstract

Known as the "pillar scientist" and "general of distinguished scientists" in the Chinese engineering science community, ZHU Guangya was an outstanding strategic scientist and engineering master who had made outstanding contributions to China's science and technology. This study aims to deeply explore and reveal the core connotation, profound influence, and important contemporary value of ZHU Guangya's scientific spirit from six aspects: patriotism, innovation, truth seeking, dedication, collaboration, and talent cultivating, by reviewing his life journey and scientific contributions. At the same time, the study deeply analyzes how did ZHU Guangya integrate the above spirit into major national scientific research projects and technological innovation, becoming an important shaper and the model of spirit of scientists, and effectively promoting China's scientific and technological progress. The scientific spirit of ZHU Guangya is a valuable spiritual wealth and everlasting driving force that new era's scientific and technological professions should learn and inherit in their efforts to achieve the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation.
