Abstract

Targeted-poverty alleviation and development is the fundamental way to achieve the grand goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way. The study has combed the three stages of the 25 years of the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in the process of poverty alleviation in Huanjiang County of Guangxi Autonomous Region. The main results and social effects of the targeted-poverty alleviation model in different stages of Huanjiang County are summarized. The challenges that the model faced under the new situation are analyzed. The new idea of scientific and technological research contributing to accurate poverty alleviation in Huanjiang County is discussed.
