Study on China's Energy Development Strategy

Abstract

Coal is the ballast of energy security in China. In order to guarantee the high-quality development of energy security, China strongly supports the innovative development of coal industry. This study systematically summarizes the innovative achievements of China in six aspects, i.e., coal resource exploration technology, coal and gas co-mining theory and technology, typical dynamic disaster risk identification and early warning monitoring technology, integrated mining and intelligent mining technology and equipment, coal high-efficiency and clean utilization and coal-based clean energy high-efficiency conversion technology, coal and new energy multi-energy synergy technology. The study deeply analyzes the current challenges faced in above mentioned six aspects, namely, safe mining of deep coal, intelligent and safe mining of coal mines, environmental safety, dust prevention and control and occupational health, contradiction of separate mining of coal and co-associated resources, and key technologies for clean and efficient utilization of coal. Based on the challenges faced in the process of high-quality development in China, the study clarifies the future innovative development directions in four areas in detail, i.e., coal intelligent green and safe mining theory and technology, environmental safety protection and occupational health theory and technology, coal and co-associated resources precise and synergistic development theory and technology, coal clean and high-efficiency utilization and carbon neutral scientific development theory and technology. Taking the challenges faced and the future innovation development direction as the grasp, the study carries out the basic theory and key technology research to realize the intelligent and safe and accurate mining and clean and efficient utilization of coal and boost the innovation development of the main energy science and technology in China.
